NJD Consulting Engineers were commissioned by the owners of the Rotunda building to carry out a structural engineering feasibility study, design and costing of the structural alterations required to convert the building to an apartment block.

 

Our principal engineer, Niall Dennehy, was part of the original structural engineering design team at Hayes Higgins Partnership when the building was originally designed in 2005-2006, and was able to use his in-depth knowledge of the building to design an optimum solution for our clients.

A structural scheme was designed to alter the existing steel frame, precast floors and concrete foundations to allow the building to be converted to residential use.
